Today’s WTF image comes from a manuscript called the Little Book of Love (Petit Livre d’Amour), which Pierre Sala wrote and had illuminated for his future wife, Marguerite Bullioud.

I love that even as early as c. 1500 the ♥ was used as a symbol for the heart and, in the context of today’s manuscript, for love.
